Nassau County Free TNR programs for residence of specific Towns.
 
TOB - Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter

Spay/Neuter/Rabies and FvRCP ( distemper ) vaccinations/ ear tipped.
Call the TOB animal shelter to make an appointment.
TOB will discuss protocol and at a future date, have someone come and trap the cat at an agreed upon date, time and place.
Surgeries are done on premise in the Towns new surgical facility.
 
TOB will recuperate the cats post surgery and return them to you.

Call between 9 am to 4:45 pm Monday through Saturday.
 
Call the TOH animal shelter on Monday to make an appointment on Thursday which is their surgery day.
Spay/Neuter/Rabies and FvRCP ( distemper ) vaccinations/ ear tipped/flea control applied.
Surgeries are done on premise.
Drop off 7 - 7:30 am and pick up 3:30 - 4, thereby the care giver must recuperate the cats postop.
Traps for loan but there is a waiting list.
 
For a fee of $25, you may request testing for FeLv/FIV but be aware that if the cat tests positive, the cat will be Euthanized,
(put to sleep ) you will not have a choice.  If you are contemplating testing, educate yourself ( www.marvista.com or www.vetinfo.org )
on FeLv and FIV as false positives do occur and verification testing should be done.

Spay/Neuter/Rabies and FvRCP (distemper) vaccinations/ ear tipped.
Surgeries are done at the town shelter using the "Helping Paw" mobile spay/neuter trailer.
Other locations and dates will vary.
 
Humane Urban Group HUG 516-869-6882 can be called for information as well as trap education and loan.
